It’s a new year and we’re all ready to get cracking, especially Jerry! He surprised us with a bunch of sparkly new frames to kick off 2014. While Jerry is well-known for his comedic flair, his talents are no means limited to just humor. In this latest round of frames, Jerry employs a restrained yet engaging approach to craft a cast of relatable and engaging characters without losing the energy of his more over-the-top work. Most—if not all—of our styles can be tailored to fit the job. Please keep Jerry and the rest of Envisionaire’s artists in mind when you are ready to bring your next big idea to life.

Holy uninspired casting Batman! Here’s something we dug out of the archives. A couple of Batman comic sample pages created by Envisionaire’s comic fanboy and artist, Lenin Delsol. In case you didn’t know, Lenin used to draw comics back in the day, most notably for First Comics Starslayer. Enjoy and stay tuned Bat-fans!
We are delighted that Chicago’s first lady of film, Ruth Ratny, wrote an article about our new artist, Jerry Neumann and Envisionaire in her excellent visual media industry news publication, ReelChicago. Read the article to find out what well known TV spot has a character named after Jerry. Thanks for the press, Ruth!
If you’re looking for storyboards that stand out from the crowd, Jerry Neumann is your man. Chicago born and raised, Jerry is a graduate of the American Academy of Art. And since then, he’s been illustrating non-stop for the most acclaimed advertising agencies in the midwest. DDB, DraftFCB, Leo Burnett, Ogilvy, J. Walter Thompson and others have utilized Jerry’s considerable talents to bring to life ideas for Bud and Bud Light, Coors Light, DiGiorno Pizza, State Farm and hundreds of other leading brands. Jerry’s inimitable style makes storyboards sing, and while his distinct flair leans towards comedy his talents are by no means limited to humor. The breadth and depth of his work ranges from illustrations for the Chicago Cubs charities to the Ronald McDonald House. When he’s not helping bring big ideas to life, Jerry can be found behind the wheel of his ’68 Camaro SS, top down, with his three boys along for the ride.

With a name like Lenin you can count on Envisionaire’s leader to be a fan of spy films. His latest movie poster parody is an homage to THE BOURNE SUPREMACY. While Lenin’s no former covert operative like Jason Bourne, he along with the rest of our team are assets you want on your side. Highly trained in the art of storyboards, Lenin often works under the cover of darkness to deliver the goods on target and on time. Armed with intelligence and speed, Lenin’s got the drawing chops to create whatever you can imagine. Want to experience Board Supremacy? Engage Lenin and our other artists, Jerry, Kari and Carol on your next assignment.
Our newest movie poster parody. Lenin went old school and revisited the 1990 version of TOTAL RECALL. We’ll be honest, in this field of quick deadlines “Total Redraw” is not a phrase we like to hear uttered—ever. Fortunately we work with some clever creatives AND we like to think we “get it” the first time around. A trip to REDRAW is a rare occurrence around here. That said, as creative folk, we know those silly clients can and do change their mind from time to time. Rest assured we’re here and on board to make your advertising fantasies real without any mind bending drama. Just tell us what you want and we’ll draw it. Again. And again, until we create what you want.
Our new portfolio books are in. The cover features a Color Noir comp Lenin created that plays on the movie, DRIVE. A handy tool to have in your creative arsenal especially when drilling down to style and artist choices. Download a PDF to print what you need. If you prefer things old school, no problem. Just give our rep, Peter a shout and he’ll get one to your office almost as fast as “Drawer” can rough out a frame.
A Color Noir comp that plays on the 2011 movie, DRIVE. Starring Lenin Delsol as Drawer, a Chicago illustrator for hire, drawing for advertising creatives day and night. Drawer is in demand. You put a pencil in his hand, there’s nothing he can’t draw. Check out the rest of Lenin’s work here.
